Why is the Canadian PR so popular?

Canada is often called a paradise for immigrants. Every year, Canada surprises the world by increasing its annual immigrant intake. And post pandemic, the situation has definitely become further better for all those who plan to migrate and by the year 2024, it plans to invite more than 4.5 million immigrants which is the highest figure so far. Canada is ranked as the second-best country in the world to live and work. It is one of the top destinations for overall sustainability, cultural influence, economic influence, entrepreneurship, and primarily for the quality of life. Once you get a PR, you have the right to move to any territory or province in Canada and work in nay profession you wish to, be it being employed or self employed. Unlike a work permit, you don’t have to stick with the same employer or job when you are on PR in Canada.

Here are a few top reasons we’ve come up with for advising Canada over any other country in the world to apply for Permanent Residency

  • Economy: There is unlimited opportunity and potential to be found in Canada’s fast growing and industrialized economy. As one of the richest countries, Canada also offers the highest standard of living while decreasing taxes and strengthening their economy with a 2.3% inflation rate.
  • Healthcare: As a developed nation, the Canadians treat healthcare to be one of the fundamental rights of its Citizens and the quality of care provided is one of
    the best in the world.
  • Education: Primary and secondary education are free for Permanent Residents and Citizens. Canadian colleges and universities are known for the superb reputation throughout the world.
  • Culture: Canada is a truly multicultural country with a rich ethnic diversity. It is a country that is entirely multicultural and even has an official national policy of multiculturalism. Some examples of this policy include having media (like newspapers) in several languages, including Italian, Chinese, Portuguese, Arabic, Hindi, Punjabi etc.
  • Safety: It is a country with the lowest crime rate in the world, they don’t have a Gun culture as such, and the Homeland security is quite strict keeping tabs on petty crimes and other activities which are illegal.
  • Scenery: Canada is famous for the gorgeous scenery and uninhabited land. There
are three oceans, mountains, plains, and some of the most attractive cities in
the world like Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal etc. Then there is the view of the
Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) from sites like Yellowknife where the nights
are clear, the landscape is flat, and the Northern Lights are perfectly
    visible.

Benefits of being a Canadian PR

The main focus of our Consultancy is to provide complete information to the candidates. We believe in sharing knowledge and that’s why we have come up with the most crystal-clear counselling and explanation regarding the entire process of immigration. Now that the people in your present Country are going bonkers over the benefits of having a Canadian PR and you might have also heard of it; read on for some brief on the top takings:
  • Free universal healthcare: Having a Canadian PR gives you access to the Canadian government’s universal healthcare facilities. Medical care is free for all Canadian permanent resident visa holders, which includes all medical prescription that is paid for through taxes. As a permanent resident of Canada, you can apply for public health insurance.
  • Free education for children: All permanent residency holders are provided with free education up to 12th grade (18 years of age). Not only this, Canada PR holders have to pay a significantly lower amount of fees for higher education as compared to overseas students.
  • Social Security Benefits: Upon receiving a COPR (Confirmation of Permanent Residency), you receive a SIN number which the government agencies use to identify you. It will be required in order to pay taxes or to gain access to government programs and benefits such as Employment Insurance (EI) and the Canada Pension Plan (CPP). Citizens, permanent residents, and temporary residents in Canada who are 12 years of age or older can apply for their own Social Insurance Number (SIN).
  • Right to Work anywhere in Canada: Being one of the most developed western countries, the rate and quality of employment are way higher than in any Asian country. High wages, decent working hours, the dignity of labour, cultural hospitability, and scope of economic growth are just a few advantages of being employed in a country like Canada.
  • Family sponsorship: With the benefits of having a Canadian PR, comes the advantage of living along with your family in Canada. You can seek to sponsor your spouse/common-law partner, dependent children and your parents to join you in Canada once you have become a permanent resident. You have the benefit to add your family to your application if you apply for the PR under the Express Entry or PNP category. Your partner and children will be eligible for the same privileges as a Canadian Permanent Resident once they have received their PR Visa.
  • Right to live or move anywhere in Canada: Section 6 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedom specifically codifies mobility rights. Canadian PR holders have the liberty to travel in and outside Canada several times. It also gives you the freedom to relocate and settle in any province. You can look for new employment, a new opportunity, or other sources of income all around the country.
  • High quality of living standards: Canada is a vibrant nation with a booming economy, cultural diversity, and geographically beautiful landscape. It is a safe and secure place to call home and immigrants with permanent residence in Canada enjoy all of the rights to be protected by the government and authorities under Canadian Charter 6. High wages, world-class education and healthcare system, modern and secular lifestyle are all part of the high-quality experience one can get by living in Canada.
  • Canadian Citizenship: You can live in Canada for five years after obtaining permanent resident status. As a PR holder, you are also eligible for Canadian citizenship if you have physically lived in the nation for 1,095 days (three years) out of the five years. However, only the five years preceding the date on which you filed your citizenship application are deemed genuine.

Steps of PR application

  • Get ECA report of education: Candidates have to get an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report to prove the Canadian equivalency of their education.
  • Take your language test: Proving your language proficiency in either or both of the official languages of Canada; English or French. The approved English language tests are IELTS and CELPIP.
  • Create Express Entry profile: Apply through any of the three federal economic immigration programs and create an express profile in the express entry program. This is where your CRS score is generated.
  • Apply for PNP (Optional): Express entry also allows the candidate to apply for provincial nomination. A successful Provincial Nomination awards 600 CRS points which then ultimately leads to Federal ITA.
  • Get a Federal ITA: Higher ranked profiles are then issued an ITA (Invitation to Apply) to apply for PR Visa within 60 days. Usually Canada conducts two draws in a month, viz. first and third Wednesday of every month, and it invites about 4000 to 5000 applicants from the Express Entry Pool.
  • Complete Medical and Police Clearance: The main applicant, spouse and children of main applicant have to get a their medical examination done at an approved centre as well as a get the Police Clearance Certificates (PCC) from their home country and from all countries where the Candidate and his or her Spouse lived for more than six months in the past ten years.
  • Submit the documents and give biometrics: This is the last step that the candidate has to do after getting ITA.
  • Application under Process: Canada PR Visa application will be evaluated by IRCC. In this step, if there will be any further requirements, the candidate must be ready to provide the asked information.
  • Receive CoPR and Visa: After a positive evaluation of the application, the candidate will be issued a CoPR (Confirmation of Permanent Residency) and Visa to travel to Canada.
  • Arrive in Canada: as a permanent resident!!

Duration

We, as a team work in unison to complete each and every step of the paperwork and documentation required for the candidate to apply in any of the suitable immigration programs. The PR process can take 10 months to 18 months depending on factors which are sometimes in our control while sometimes there can be a delay from the immigration department itself. So, keeping this in mind we tell our clients to consider it as a one-year process.

Cost

The approximate cost of Canada PR process including our fee and all the other fees until you get Visas would be about INR 2 lakhs for single applicant and an addition of INR 1 lakh for accompanying spouse and INR 25,000 for each added child.
